Product Specialist, interim 12 months, Uppsala

On behalf of one of our key clients, we are looking for a Consultant as Product Specialist

What to expect

The Product Specialist will work with global as well as internal projects. In this role, you will be part of the product management team but work closely with experts from both the client and regulatory authorities worldwide. It is a great opportunity to apply your project management skills on several explorative projects aiming to support pharmacovigilance processes worldwide. This is an opportunity as Consultant for 12 months. You will be working at our clients office, in Uppsala, 2-3 days/week and the rest from home.

What you will do

As a Product Specialist, your main tasks will be management of a number of ongoing projects related to standardization of medicinal product information. You will also contribute to various team activities such as coordination of internal projects, webinars, customer interviews, gathering feedback, all according to experience and professional skills. To summarise, your main tasks will be:

  • Support the customer by advising use of the offerings within the Product Portfolios and proactively identify specific customer needs to enable best possible value of the client’s investment and a successful usage of the products.
  • Ensure that the users understand the full potential of the product to optimize their use.
  • Support product development and life cycle management with expert knowledge about customers’ product experiences.
  • Contribute content for product trainings, documentation, and marketing collaterals.
  • Interact and collaborate with external stakeholders like e.g. national regulatory authorities, national immunisation programmes, and pharmaceutical industry customers as well as internal stakeholders like WHO Liaison and External Engagement departments.
  •  Participate in collaborations with WHO, and member organisations of the Programme for International Drug Monitoring, on  awareness and capacity building efforts related to the relevant products.
     participate in face-to-face and virtual training efforts
  •  Act as second line support and sales support to ensure customer satisfaction in the use of the products by:
    •  answering product-related questions
    •  communicating product benefits to users in virtual meetings, webinars
    • presenting and representing the portfolios at international meetings and events
    •  taking part in product demonstrations for clients, staff, and other stakeholders

Since the position involves processing of large amounts of information, you will be working in depth with MS Excel and Visio. You would also be required to compile presentations in power point to lead the project work virtually and to put together extensive reports in MS word.

About you

You are motivated by managing and organizing projects, can swiftly absorb new knowledge and put into practice. Together with the project members, you identify and document new solutions and approaches. You are personally well-organised, delivery-focused, thinking strategically and acting proactively to ensure the efficiency and result of the project. You are also a good team player, interpersonally savvy and adaptable to meet the project member needs. You should have excellent communication skills: the ability to communicate and inspire enthusiasm, to listen, interpret, and translate customers' needs, and to instruct and educate customers. Analytical skills to anticipate and resolve problems and the pragmatic attitude to pursue resolving actions.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has a B.Sc. in Life Sciences such as engineering, pharmacist, chemist or similar. Alternatively, another university degree and extensive experience from the life science field.
  • Is fluent in written and oral English 
  • Has excellent communicative and networking skills 
  • Has minimum 3 years of experience working with product support or other similar role
  • Documented experience of software development within the Life science field (regulator or pharmaceutical industry)
  • Be able to travel on average 1-4 times a year

It is an advantage if you:
•                        Have a PhD in a relevant field
•                        Additional language skills is an advantage, for example French or Arabic.
•                        Have experience in intercultural communication
